Overseas to Overflowing Richness: A Tale of An Overseas Filipino Worker in Oman by Jonas Dupo

I AM AN OFW ADVOCATE

I am working as an OFW in the last five years and I always say this, it’s tough working abroad because we need to deal with so many issues like issues in our finances, savings, investments, work and even in our relationships.

Tulad ng lahat ng OFWs, I also wanted to help my family, makapagtayo ng mga businesses and makauwi for good. Mukha lang syang madali pero ang dami kong mga failures before I even reach my dream businesses. Ang dami din temptations sa abroad na kapag hindi tayo marunong mag prioritize, kung saan saan mapupunta ang pera natin lalo na sa mga bagay na wala namang kwenta.

WHY I WROTE THE BOOK?

In my five years, I was able to observe my fellow OFWs in Oman. Madami sa kanila ay nagwawaldas ng pera, thinking na forever malakas sila, or forever may work sila, but reality bites (Hindi lang sa LOVE walang forever, pati na din sa employment natin). One day pwede tayong matanggal sa trabaho or mapauwi. What pains me more is seeing OFWs who are going broke. Umuuwing walang ipon. Umuuwing walang naipundar. And worst of all umuuwing may utang. I am deeply affected kapag may nakakaranas nito kasi alam ko kung gaano kahirap mag trabaho sa ibang bansa.

Kapag may chance ako to speak to my fellow OFWs, I always emphasize prioritizing their assets, nurturing their relationships, living simply and many more. Pero hindi ko lahat kaya isa isahin, that’s why I opted to write a book which was published last June 8, 2019 in Ortigas, Pasig City. The title of my book is “Overseas to overflowing Richness: A tale of an Overseas Filipino Worker in Oman, A guidebook to working abroad.” With a foreword from Sha Nacino, a bestselling author and Asia’s Book Writing Coach.

This book for me is the perfect guide for all Overseas Filipino Workers. And I will make a bold announcement that every OFW should read this book in order to succeed in his or her OFW journey. I have given all the things that OFW should know to achieve their dreams.

Join me in my mission of ending broke OFWs and start producing a new breed of OFWs who are rich not only in money but also in character.

For order, you can visit my Facebook page Jonas Dupo(https://www.facebook.com/jonasOFW/) or you can comment below.

I ask for your support my fellow OFWs in Oman. I will also donate proceeds of the book sale to my chosen charity, ANAWIM (Home for the abandoned elderly in Montalban Rizal). Na bless kana sa nakasulat sa book, nakatulong kapa. I pray for more wins and breakthroughs in your quest for a beautiful life abroad.

Prayers and Blessings!
