Coronavirus: Oman announces tougher several decisions to fight COVID-19

The Supreme Committee entrusted with studying scopes for a mechanism to handle developments resulting from coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic issued a number of decisions that will take effect from twelve o’clock noon tomorrow, Wednesday, March 18, 2020.

  1. Restricting entry to the Sultanate from all land, sea and air outlets to the Omanis only, and stopping the exit of the Omanis
  2. Closing all mosques and mosques, except for raising the call to prayer.
  3. Close all non-Muslim places of worship.
  4. Suspending all gatherings, events, and conferences in the Sultanate.
  5. Close all tourist sites, and prevent gatherings in public places, including those on the beaches and picnics, such as valleys, mountains, sand, waterfalls and waterfalls.
  6. Close all stores in the commercial complexes, with the exception of food and consumer catering stores
  7. Close traditional markets such as Mutrah Market, Nizwa Market, Rustaq Market, and Sinaw Market, as well as stopping popular markets
  8. Preventing the provision of food in restaurants and cafes, including those in hotels, except for take out
  9. Close sports and cultural clubs.
  10. Close gyms and health clubs, and men’s and women’s barber and beauty shops.

The Committee affirmed its appeal to all that it is necessary to comply fully with all decisions and recommendations issued for the benefit.
