Through a mobile application, overseas Filipino workers (OFW) can now easily report abuse from their employers.
Philippine Overseas Employment Agency (POEA) Administrator Bernard Olalia said the application interface “Abizo OFW App” aims to support the needs of OFWs.
The mobile app is a digital monitoring system, which is part of the OFW Global Monitoring Pilot Project spearheaded by Olalia.
POEA earlier said the project “will determine the accurate number of OFWs, including the information on their deployment location, their employers, as well as track their working conditions.”
To date, there are 13,206 total users of Abizo OFW App located in over 40 countries worldwide.
