Mwasalat on Wednesday announced the launch of its Ruwi-Khoula Hospital-Mina al Fahal port services from Friday, as part of the company’s plans to develop the public transport system in the sultanate.
The new line will serve the most important health facilities in Muscat, including Al Nahdha Hospital, Khoula Hospital and PDO, stated a press release.
A number of important areas to be included during the route are Ruwi bus station–Ruwi roundabout-Hamriya roundabout-Al Nahdha Hospital-Wadi Adai roundabout-Wattayah-Middan al Fath street-Khoula Hospital-Petroleum Development Oman Gate (1)-Seih al Maleh Street-Petroleum Development Oman Gate (2).
The bus will return on the same path to the starting point and the fare is 200 baisa.
Mwasalat will operate buses via the new line (round trip) at a frequency of every 30 minutes starting from 6am on weekdays and public holidays.
Passengers arriving from Ma’abela on bus number 1 can get off at Wattayah station and cross the pedestrian bridge and then take the bus number 14 if desiring to go to Khoula Hospital or PDO.
Those coming from Amerat on bus number 5 can get off at the Al Nahdha Hospital stop and cross the street through the pedestrian tunnel and then go to Khoula Hospital or PDO.
