Visit Muscat Festival 2018 by Mwasalat Bus

The annual Muscat Festival have finally open its gate on January 18 and it will run until the February 10, 2018, a 24 days of fun for everyone.

The 18th Muscat Festival begins under the theme, ‘Let’s Celebrate Together’ at several venues across the city on Thursday. Muscat Municipality has completed all preparations for this annual event. This year’s festival will have many new entertainment, cultural and sports activities, in addition to science and arts competitions.

The first Muscat Festival was held in 1998 at Qurum Natural Park and this year marks 20 years of the event.


The festival will mainly take place in Amerat Park and Naseem Gardens, Al Madina theater, Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre, Oman Automobile with mesmerizing sights, food, and entertainment for adults and children alike.

The festival gates will open from 4pm to 11pm on weekdays, and from 4pm to 12am on weekends.

Hundreds of tourists are expected to throng the festival venues over the 24-day period. This will be followed by the Tour of Oman cycling event that will be held from February 13-18. In addition to the main venues, Amerat Park and Naseem Gardens, Oman Automobile Association premises, cultural halls and clubs too will host a number of activities.

Musical, theatrical and art activities will be held at the Al Madinah Theatre and Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre. Naseem Gardens will host a range of educational, creative and recreational activities for children. The highlights of the venue include the Family Village, Children’s Theatre and Entertainment and Arts Park.

The above mentioned location is somewhat difficult to reach particularly with those who want to visit that doesn’t have their own car or transportation.

Mwasalat will provide a special service for visitors to the Muscat Festival 2018 from January 18 to February 10 this year, as well as to support and ensure the success of this festival.

This initiative comes from the transportation policy pursued by the company to encourage visitors to the festival by using a safe means of transport equipped with the best safety and comfort features.

Mwasalat said it is targeting visitors from families and individuals in various age groups, and will ensure that they enjoy the experience of public transport in the Sultanate as well have fun in one of the main sites of the festival.

Bus Timing and schedules are as follows, Ruwi Bus Station to Al Amerat Park – Every 20 Minutes Starting from 4 PM till Midnight , Daily
Mabailah Bus Station to Naseem Garden – Every 30 Minutes Starting from 4 PM till Midnight, Daily
