Mactan-Cebu International Airport will only accept Cebuano OFWs and returning Filipinos

To avoid congestion in quarantine hotels, only Cebuano Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and Returning Overseas Filipinos (ROFs) will be accepted at the Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) from December 23 to January 3 next year.

In compliance with Cebu Provincial Executive Order No. 49, s. 2021, only Cebuano OFWs and ROFs shall be allowed to enter Cebu, provided they present the following upon check-in at their airport of origin:

  • Cebuano OFWs shall present a valid ID and a duly accomplished declaration form reflecting their residential address in Cebu; and,
  • Cebuano ROFs shall present proof of their pre-booking at an accredited hotel in Cebu, for utmost, two (2) days

Passengers are advised to get in touch with their airlines for the flight schedules and re-timing.

Emirates Airline also issued a travel update regarding entry into Cebu.

Effective December 23, 2021 , up to and including January 3, 2022, only Cebuano Overseas Filipino Workers and returning Filipinos will be allowed to enter Cebu as per directive from local authorities in Philippines. No other nationality is permitted to travel on these flights.
