Amidst the controversy that KAPA Community Ministry is currently facing, there are still countless members defending the ministry, not just in the Philippines but also abroad.
An Overseas Filipina Worker shared her sentiments on social media and enumerated all the good things that according to her are fruits of KAPA’s “blessings”.
She began her video by saying she is against the decision of the government to close the ministry. She told in detail how hard her life was before she started “donating” to KAPA.
According to her, she never had enough savings despite working for two years and six months abroad. Although she wants to settle in the Philippines for good, her financial status won’t let her.
However, her life changed when she joined the said ministry. After six months of being a member, she claimed that the “blessings” she got from the ministry gave her the chance to go home and never return abroad.
In her tirade, she questioned the government for its decision of closing the KAPA for good. She said that the president fell short in giving the OFW a better life.
Reputedly, no OFW had the chance to return home for good with just two years of working abroad but the ministry gave them that chance.
Moreover, she accused Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, founder and leader of the restorationist cult called Kingdom of Jesus Christ, of destroying KAPA by instigating the president of closing the KAPA ministry.
She pleaded to Quiboloy to leave KAPA alone as they have done nothing wrong against him and his ministry.
To recall, Duterte ordered the shut down of the six companies which are allegedly involved in an investment scam. One of those is the KAPA Community Ministry led by Pastor Joel Apolinario. Despite the protest receiving by the majority of the members, the president still determines in shutting down the ministry.
According to Duterte, “If it is too good to be true, it is really wrong… Don’t invest there, it’s a scam,”
