Watch: Introducing Al Araimi Boulevard

Al Araimi Boulevard in Al Khoud, which is coming up in two floors spread over 147,200 square metres, is scheduled to open for the public in September 2018.

Developed by the Al Raid Group in cooperation with Design International, AEB ASSAF and Kaosys, the mall is estimated to cost OMR62 million.

It will be Oman’s largest family entertainment centre with 250 shops, ten modern cinema halls, 20 diversified restaurants and 3,000 car parking space.

“The mall is going to be a one-stop destination for every family and visitor. We will have the largest food court ever-built in Oman, with a capacity to accommodate more than 1,000 people in 20 diversified restaurants. There will be also an outdoor area with beautiful landscape that will allow connection with nature. The boulevard will offer a 6,000 square meters entertainment area with a large interactive learning area, sitting alongside space for live shows and exciting performances,” said Sheikh Raid Abdullah Ali Al Araimi, vice-chairman of Al Raid Group.

Carrefour will be the anchor hyper market at Al Araimi Boulevard. Carrefour will provide an unmatched shopping experience for the strong and growing population in Al Seeb and Al Khoud. “Our decision to join Al Araimi Boulevard is due to the strategic location and excellent road network in the area,” said Najeeb Haddad, Country Manager of Carrefour.

“The mall will cater to a large section of Omani population and will be an incredible experience to visit the place. Oman, since 1998 has witnessed several changes in the history of malls. There have been massive evolution in malls from the inclusion of cinema to children playgrounds and I see the future of edutainment more in the near future. Owing to the heat, malls have an excellent ability to influence people come under one roof and be entertained, relaxed and shop,” said David Macadam, CEO of Middle-East Council of Shopping Centers.

The Al Araimi Boulevard Mall was felicitated by the Middle-East Council of Shopping Centers during the Next Generation networking event. The event also showcased the vast profile of Al Araimi Boulevard to officials from almost 20 malls in the Sultanate and representatives from Lebanon, Kuwait and Dubai.
