International inbound arrivals at NAIA increases to 5,000 per day

The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) on Friday said that the new development came from the Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB) advisory addressed to all airlines operating at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) terminals which took effect on February 4, 2022.

In a February 3, 2022 advisory signed by CAB Executive Director Carmelo Arcilla, it reminded all airlines “to ensure strict compliance with the applicable entry requirements and protocols for all its international arriving passengers under relevant Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) resolutions and/or policies.”

The airlines were strictly reminded that their passengers must comply with requirements particular with the registration to the One Health Pass (OHP) prior to boarding the flight.

All airlines are directed to screen and allow to board passengers who are compliant with the applicable requirements and protocols for international arriving passengers.

The advisory said that failure to comply with the foregoing requirements shall be meted with appropriate sanctions and penalties in accordance with the Joint Memorandum Circular No. 2021-01 dated January 8, 2021 including the other relevant and applicable laws, rules and regulations.

The government is easing borders and will allow fully vaccinated foreigners from visa-free countries to enter the country starting February 10.
