In Photos: Ikea Oman is now officially open!

Swedish home furnishings giant IKEA has opened doors to its first store in Oman on Sunday, June 19, 2022. With over thousands of products, the much awaited IKEA finally makes a spectacular entry in Oman at the Oman Avenues Mall.

Offering over 9,000 products from categories such as living room, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and other home furnishings, the store will include inspirational room displays and provide customer experiences with diversified furnishing solutions.

IKEA has also expanded its digital footprint, allowing customers to view the entire product range online from the comfort of their homes. Additionally, the new IKEA store will also offer a wide range of services such as assembly and delivery, measurement facilities and kitchen services at affordable prices.

The two-level store is spread across 25,000 square meter.

Since the news came out that Ikea will finally have a branch in Oman, it has been my plan to buy a hanger, yes, just a clothe hanger. Anyway, I just made my first Ikea experience and here are some snaps that I took inside the shop.

They designed the store so that you only follow one direction. Most people do. There are shortcuts but they want you to see everything inside. So you walk from the start to the end.

IKEA puts arrows on the floor to complement the maze layout of their stores. This means you don’t need to think where to go next. Just follow the arrows.

A video will be posted to our Youtube channel.
