Going to work: Government, private sector staff must carry letter from company

All government and private sector employees stepping out for work should carry a letter from their company, the ROP has said.

The letter bearing the company seal should explain the nature of the work and the details of the employee. Both residents and citizens must also carry their ID cards.

The military and security authorities manning the checkpoints have called on everyone to comply with the measures announced for restricted movement across governorates.

The Ministry of Defence in a statement stressed the importance of carrying the required documents for moving through checkpoints, which include: civil or resident cards, business cards and the necessary justifications for passing checkpoints.

The Royal Armed Forces and Royal Oman Police have set joint check points for the movement of citizens and residents on the roads linking the entrances and exits of the sultanate’s governorates.

These measures aim to reduce the movement between governorates in order to preserve the safety and health of citizens and residents as well as to limit unnecessary movements that are not included by the declared exceptions.
