DOTr to require all airport passengers to use TRAZE app starting November 28, 2020

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) has announced last October 28, 2020 the mandatory use of the TRAZE Contact Tracing app for all airport passengers starting November 28, 2020.

IMPORTANT ADVISORY

All airport passengers MUST download and register an account in the TRAZE Contact Tracing App beginning 28 November 2020, prior to entering the airport.

How to register? Just these simple steps:

  • Download the TRAZE App from your mobile store and install it on your phone
  • Open the app and click the “Register” button below. Register as “Individual.”
  • Just follow the instructions indicated in the app and input the needed information
  • Activate your account

Meanwhile, for passengers who do not have mobile phones or any other mobile gadget, they may go to the Malasakit Helpdesk at the airport where they will be provided assistance in getting a unique QR code. Or, they may likewise ask a family member to register them with the app.

The QR code can be used at any DOTr Office nationwide.

TRAZE, a nationwide and unified contact tracing app is co-developed by the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) and Cosmotech Philippines, Inc., which enables the government’s contact tracing efforts to be strengthened and be more efficient.

With TRAZE, the contact tracing process can now be done in just a few minutes, unlike the usual and manual process. Not only that—you can also be assured that your data is safe and secured, as the app fully complies with the Data Privacy Act (DPA) or Republic Act No. 10173. Further, it does not use bluetooth or GPS, and it works well even with slow mobile data and WiFi!

DOWNLOAD THE TRAZE APP AS EARLY AS NOW!
