DFA Launches First e-Apostille Service in the ASEAN Region

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) launched the Philippines’ first e-Apostille service on March 19, 2024. This makes the Philippines the first country in Southeast Asia to offer electronic Apostille.

The e-Apostille system allows applicants to apply online for PSA e-certificates and e-Apostilles for birth, marriage, and CENOMAR certificates. This eliminates the need to visit both the PSA and DFA offices.

The e-Apostille is released electronically upon DFA’s receipt of the PSA e-certificate. E-payments can be made via the PSA Helpline and Landbank Link.biz portal.

The traditional paper Apostille application process will remain available for those who need it.

The Philippine Embassy in Muscat have released an announcement about the e-Apostille service and the announcement says:

The Philippine Embassy is pleased to announce that the issuance of electronic Apostilles (e-Apostilles) for Philippine e-certificates of civil registry documents issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) via PSA Helpline was launched on 19 March 2024.

Applicants who wish to secure an e-Apostille of their PSA e-certificate should follow these steps:

  1. Apply and pay for the electronic certificate of their PSA civil registry document through PSA Helpline via this link: https://e-app1.apostille.gov.ph; and

  2. Pay Php 200 for the expedited fee of the e-Apostille through this link: https://www.lbp-eservices.com/egps/portal/Transactions.jsp

The e-Apostille, which will contain the digital signature of the DFA, will be sent and transmitted via electronic mail to the applicant or end-user upon confirmation from PSA and e-payment. All e-Apostilles are verifiable through the digital signature and via the link provided in the cover letter attached to the e-Apostille and PSA e-certificate.

In addition, below are the updated links of the e-Registries for Apostilles and e-Apostilles, and other verification instructions:
