Cancellation and Rebooking options added in Sahala platform

Sahala platform, the hotel quarantine booking facility has added a new option in fulfilment of the request of travelers and users of the system.

Booking cancellation and Rebooking are now possible. You are reminded though that you must review the booking policy mentioned on their website before making any changes.

Cancellation and No Show Policy

Cancellation Policy

A “Cancellation” is defined as a documented communication from the traveller, informing eMushrif of their intention to cancel the contracted service at least 24 hours before the intended service time.

In the case of a cancellation, the following applies:

  • The booking made will be cancelled and the room will be released for sale.
  • A cancellation fee of 25 OMR will apply.
  • Individuals who can no longer enter the country due to changes in regulations or exempted due to a change in regulations are exempted from the cancellation fee.
  • If the cancellation is initiated less than 24 hours before the intended service time, the No Show policy shall be applied.

No show policy

A “No Show” is defined as the guest’s failure to make use of the contracted service, or the guest’s failure to “Cancel” the contracted service 24 hours before the intended service time.

In the case of a No Show, the following applies:

  • The booking made will be marked as a No Show by the Hotel and the room will be released for sale.
  • A penalty of a 1-night stay will be charged to the guest, and a 25 OMR cancellation fee will be applied.

Rebooking Policy

A “Rebooking” is defined as a documented communication from the traveller, informing eMushrif of their intention to change the details of the contracted service at least 24 hours before the intended service time. ‍
In the case of Rebooking, the following applies:

  • The existing booking will be cancelled, and the room will be released for sale.
  • The traveller will create a new booking, with the new booking details that they require.
  • If the new booking is more expensive, the traveller needs to cover the price difference.
  • If the new booking is cheaper, the traveller needs to forgo the price difference.
  • A rebooking fee of 25 OMR will apply.
  • Individuals who wish to change their booking details due to changes in regulations or exempted due to a change in regulations are exempted from the rebooking fee.
  • A rebooking cannot happen less than 24 hours before the intended service time.
