BREAKING: OWWA Scholars Shine in May 2025 Philippine Nurses Licensure Exam

A new wave of modern-day heroes is born as the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) proudly celebrates the phenomenal success of its scholars who passed the May 2025 Philippine Nurses Licensure Examination.

In a heartfelt announcement, OWWA extended its warmest congratulations to its outstanding scholars who have emerged victorious in one of the country’s most competitive licensure exams.

“Binabati namin ang ating mga natatanging iskolar na matagumpay na nakapasa sa May 2025 Philippine Nurses Licensure Examination! Bunga ito ng inyong sipag, tiyaga, at dedikasyon sa pag-aaral. Ang buong pamunuan ng OWWA ay taus-pusong nakikigalak sa inyong tagumpay at patuloy na sumusuporta sa inyong paglalakbay bilang mga bagong bayani sa larangan ng kalusugan. Mabuhay kayo, mga bagong Registered Nurses!” the agency announced.

A Victory Rooted in OWWA’s Scholarship Programs

This remarkable milestone is closely tied to OWWA’s key scholarship initiatives, particularly the Education for Development Scholarship Program (EDSP) and the OFW Dependent Scholarship Program (ODSP). These programs have played a pivotal role in enabling children and dependents of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) to access quality education, empowering them to pursue high-demand professions such as nursing.

EDSP provides financial assistance to qualified dependents of active OWWA members who intend to enroll in a four- or five-year baccalaureate course.

ODSP supports the dependents of OFWs with a financial grant for post-secondary education.

Many of the newly minted nurses are proud beneficiaries of these programs, and their achievement stands as a powerful testament to the transformative impact of OWWA’s advocacy for education and empowerment.

Nurses as the New Frontliners and Global Ambassadors

As the global demand for skilled healthcare workers continues to rise, these newly licensed Filipino nurses are poised to become both local healthcare frontliners and potential global ambassadors of Filipino excellence and compassion.

With their licenses now in hand, these scholars are set to answer the call not just within the Philippines but across the world — continuing the legacy of Filipino nurses as among the most trusted and sought-after in the international medical community.

A New Chapter Begins

As the celebration echoes across the country and Filipino communities abroad, OWWA reiterates its commitment to nurturing more scholars, supporting families of OFWs, and preparing the next generation of leaders in various fields.

Mabuhay kayo, bagong RN!
