Another batch of repatriation for Filipino nationals in Oman affected by the travel restrictions for travelers to the Philippines is scheduled for 18 August 2021.
The Philippine Embassy released an advisory for the public that the third Philippine government-funded repatriation flight for Filipino nationals in Oman affected by the travel restrictions for travelers to the Philippines is scheduled for 18 August 2021.
Those who are confirmed for the flight will be called by the Embassy. Hence, if you have submitted your request for repatriation, please ensure that you are able to receive calls on the number provided to the Embassy. The Embassy reiterates that priority is given to the following:
- Those with medical conditions and who may need to undergo medical care in the Philippines
- Those who applied and have been approved for the Oman Ministry of Labor program for the waiver of fines and penalties for the expatriate workforce provided that the departure from Oman is permanent (amnesty)
- Those who have been terminated from their employment; and
- Those who have finished their employment.
The Embassy hereby advises the confirmed passengers of the following:

Tickets will be emailed to the confirmed passengers. Please regularly check the email you provided in your initial request for repatriation.
RT-PCR SWAB TEST
- All passengers are required to have a negative result of an RT-PCR COVID-19 swab test done within 48 hours prior to boarding the aircraft. The Embassy has contracted AL BASHAYER MEDICAL CENTER to administer the free RT-PCR swab tests for passengers of the flight.

- The RT-PCR swab test will be administered on Monday ,16 August 2021, and will follow the following schedule based on the surname/last name of the passengers:
- Passengers are advised to be at the Medical Center during the appropriated schedule. Please bring your passport, travel document or resident ID card for verification of identity. For further inquiries and concern, the medical center may be reached through the provide contact details above.
- Repatriates may also pay for their own RT-PCR swab test at any of the MOH-accredited medical facility, if it is more convenient, provided that it is taken within 48 hours prior to the boarding of the flight.
- A copy of the negative RT-PCR swab test result from Al Bashayer Medical Center will be released on Tuesday, 17 Aug 2021, at their Ghala location. The negative result of the RT-PCR swab test will also be made available by personnel of the Medical Center at the Departure Area of Muscat International Airport on the day of the repatriation flight, 18 August 2021, for those who may not be able to claim it at the Ghala location.
- Those who are positive for COVID-19 will be duly informed by the Al Bashayer Medical Center and by the Embassy, as you will not be allowed to join the repatriation flight. If you tested positive for COVID-19, please strictly follow health protocols by undergoing the required quarantine, continue to observe your symptoms and seek medical advice. Do not come to the Embassy if you tested positive for COVID-19.
Repatriates are reminded that to facilitate departure, kindly ensure that the exit permits and/or cancelation of visas, including the payment of any overstay penalties and fines, and other pertinent documents that may be required by Omani immigration authorities or by the airline (i.e. medical clearance) will be attended to by your respective employers or by you.
