More than a hundred thousand standardized COVID-19 vaccination certificates have been issued since the soft launch of VaxCertPH early this month, the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) said Saturday.
Some 138,000 Filipinos have secured COVID-19 vaccination certificates from the government since the system’s soft launch earlier this month, said Undersecretary Manny Caintic of the Department of Information and Communications Technology.
During state-run PTV’s Laging Handa briefing, DICT Undersecretary Emmanuel Caintic said the VaxCertPH, the portal for the issuance of vaccination certificates to fully vaccinated individuals, has “so far… issued 138,000 vaccination certificates out of 225,000 requests” received since the portal’s soft launch in Metro Manila and Baguio on September 6.
“Nationwide statistics ito dahil kahit nag soft launch na tayo sa NCR at Baguio, pinrioritize natin mga OFWs (overseas Filipino workers) at international travelers,” Caintic said.
Once all local government units (LGUs) are ready with their booths to help their constituents without internet access, the DICT official said that VaxCertPH can become online nationwide.
Caintic, however, clarified that VaxCertPH is already accessible all over the country but the government only prioritized the requests of OFWs and international travelers.
