One of the most significant dates in the Philippine’s history is Independence Day because it marks the nation’s independence from the Spanish rule on June 12, 1898. Filipinos back home and those overseas celebrate it annually.

Here in Oman, the FILIPINO COMMUNITY SOCIAL CLUB (FILCOSOC), a duly registered organization of Filipinos under the Ministry of Social Development (MOSD) thru the Department of Associations & Community Clubs is once again happy to inform you that they will be conducting another big event called the “LIKHANG PINOY” on 22nd June 2018 at Al Falaj Hotel from 3pm to 10pm to commemorate this historical event.

This occasion is aimed at providing a unique opportunity for all Filipino expatriates in Oman to have an unforgettable experience and a meaningful celebration of the 120th Philippine Independence Day.

The event will feature Cultural Attire Competition and a variety of performances to show case the unique fashion style and God-given talents of the Filipino people. This is an attempt to bring joy and entertainment to the Filipinos as we celebrate our independence day.

Moreover, during this occasion, PHILHEALTH, Social Security System (SSS) and National Life Insurance representatives will be present to attend to the concerns or queries of the OFWs.

Ms. Morisette Amon all the way from Manila through OSN/TFC sponsorship will also be performing during the program.
